Stone Mountain, Georgia. — In April of 2018, the World Poultry Foundation sponsored a two day training workshop for field extension agents and veterinarians in Ethiopia. Training and educational programs are an essential part of the foundation’s mission. Hands-on training opportunities facilitated by professionals at the top of their game enable the foundation to carry out its vision of supporting and educating growers and other poultry professionals across the globe.
AUBURN, Alabama. — In the midst of Auburn University’s “125 Years of Auburn Women” celebration, the Poultry Science Club hosted three successful young Department of Poultry Science alumnae who now work at Aviagen were back on campus in October.
The three, accompanied by 1997 department alumnus Jeremy Martin, director of Aviagen’s quality assurance department, were Clara Goldman, a 2014 graduate of the program, 2015 alumna Kasey Blore and 2016 graduate Karri Fievet.
AUBURN, Alabama. – Auburn University’s Department of Poultry Science will be showcasing building progress and research capabilities of the Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research and Education Center at the 2018 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE). IPPE is renown as the world’s largest annual meat, poultry and feed industry trade show, scheduled for January 30 – February 1, 2018, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
